At LaFontaine Automotive Group, our customers are like family. And like you, during these last few weeks we’ve been focused on doing all the things we need to do to keep our families safe and healthy. That means understanding how it affects our customers, employees and local communities, and then making the necessary precautions to our work and operations.
We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus.
We have ramped up cleaning services at our stores using hospital-grade disinfectant, and are adding hand sanitizer at the front entrances and in all customer lounges and checkout areas. Sanitizing wipes are near workstations and counters so that staff can keep them continuously cleaned.
We have asked our employees to follow these CDC recommendations, including maintaining a safe distance from all customers and fellow colleagues. Processes include:
- Eliminating customer contact
- Stay home if you are sick, and advise others to do the same.
- Always cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue or sleeve.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
We are keenly aware of the fluid nature surrounding the COVID-19 crisis is creating and it is at the forefront of our conversations and decisions. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our staff and customers.
Michigan Governor Whitmer issued a “Shelter in Place” executive order to combat the spread of COVID-19. Following the Governor’s order and to best protect the safety of our employees and customers, all LaFontaine locations, with the exception of our LaFontaine Bodyshops, will be closed until April 14.
